Terms of Service
The deal between us.
Last updated: July 2026 · Operated by Rafflexchange Inc.
1. What Monthcloser does
Monthcloser helps you import bank, credit-card, and payslip statements, classify your spending, reconcile the month, and close it. Once your month is closed, you receive The Close Report™ — an AI-generated financial health summary — and a Financial Health Score™ that tracks your progress over time. You own your data; we provide the tool that organizes it and the AI that interprets it.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password secure. Don't share your credentials. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately and contact us at support@monthcloser.com.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Monthcloser. If your account is sponsored by your employer, additional terms in Section 4 apply.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Monthcloser for any illegal purpose
- Upload data you don't have the right to use
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without permission
- Reverse engineer or build a competing service from our app
- Abuse the service (excessive automated requests, denial-of-service-style traffic, etc.)
- Attempt to circumvent the Ask AI question limit through automated or repeated requests
4. Access and billing
Employer-sponsored access
If your employer offers Monthcloser as a benefit, your access to the full Monthcloser program is provided at no cost to you, under a service agreement between your employer and Rafflexchange Inc. The terms of that arrangement are governed by your employer's service agreement, not by these Terms.
Your individual data — your closes, your Financial Health Score, your Close Report, your documents — is never accessible to your employer. Your employer receives only anonymized, aggregated cohort metrics. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
Personal subscription
If you continue using Monthcloser after your employer's program ends, or if you move to an individual account for any other reason, your account transitions to a personal subscription. Pricing for personal subscriptions is shown at the point of transition and in your account settings.
Personal subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, depending on your plan). You will be charged the then-current price unless you cancel before renewal.
Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method according to the plan you select.
Cancellation
You can cancel a personal subscription anytime from Account → Subscription. When you cancel:
- Your subscription continues until the end of your current billing period
- You retain full access until that end date
- You will not be billed again
- After the end date, your account transitions to read-only access — you can view your complete history and Close Reports but cannot add new monthly closes until you resubscribe
- Your data is preserved unless you choose to delete your account
Refunds
We do not offer prorated refunds for partial periods. If something goes wrong, email support@monthcloser.com and we will work it out fairly.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we will mark your subscription as past due. You will have a grace period to update your payment method before access is restricted to read-only.
5. Your data
You own everything you upload and create in Monthcloser — your transactions, your closed months, your Close Reports, and your Financial Health Score history. We store and process it under the terms of our Privacy Policy. You can export, edit, or delete your data at any time.
If we introduce an anonymized benchmark dataset and you opt in, you could withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent stops future contributions; it does not retroactively remove your data from historical aggregate statistics, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
6. The Close Report™, Financial Health Score™, and AI features
You receive The Close Report™ automatically after every closed month, along with a Financial Health Score™ and up to two Ask AI questions after each close. These features are generated using artificial intelligence based on your verified closed-month data.
If you wish to disable Close Report and Ask AI generation, contact us; you retain full access to your monthly close and verified financial data either way.
The Financial Health Score™ is a proprietary Monthcloser metric. It is not a credit score, is not used by any credit bureau, and has no bearing on your creditworthiness with any bank or lender unless you choose to share it yourself.
7. Accuracy of imports
Monthcloser parses statements automatically. We do our best, but parsing isn't perfect. You're responsible for reviewing imported lines and confirming totals before relying on them. The reconcile step exists precisely to surface mismatches before you commit a month, and any bank-line classification you haven't confirmed is flagged clearly before you save.
8. Service availability
We aim to keep Monthcloser available 24/7, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance, infrastructure outages, and unforeseen incidents can happen. We'll communicate significant downtime when we can. If a Close Report is delayed due to an outage, it will be delivered as soon as service is restored.
9. Not financial advice
Monthcloser is a financial clarity tool, not a financial advisory service. Reports, scores, categorizations, and trends reflect the data you upload. They are not investment advice, tax advice, or guidance from a licensed professional. Decisions you make based on Monthcloser's outputs are yours alone.
This applies equally to The Close Report™, Ask AI, and the Financial Health Score™. Monthcloser surfaces insights from your closed financial data. It does not provide financial advice. For financial planning and investment decisions, consult a licensed financial adviser.
10. Trademarks and intellectual property
The Monthly Close Method™, The Close Report™, Financial Health Score™, Monthcloser Certified Coach™ (MCC™), and related names and marks are trademarks of Rafflexchange Inc. The Monthcloser software, parsing technology, and underlying methodology are proprietary and protected by applicable intellectual property law.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use Monthcloser's trademarks, software, or methodology outside of your ordinary use of the service.
11. Termination
You can delete your account anytime. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or fail payment after the grace period. Where appropriate, we'll give notice before taking action. For employer-sponsored accounts, termination follows the process described in Section 4.
12. Limitation of liability
Monthcloser is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including decisions made in reliance on The Close Report, Ask AI responses, or your Financial Health Score. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. For employer-sponsored accounts where you have not personally paid a subscription fee, our total liability is limited to USD 100.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and announce significant changes in-app. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms. For employer-sponsored accounts, we will also notify your employer's designated administrator of material changes affecting the enterprise program.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes will be handled in the appropriate courts there, regardless of where you or your employer are located.
